Meet Mykey – Founder & Instructor

Hi! I’m Mykelanne Madonna, but everyone calls me Mykey. Dance has been my passion since I was nine years old, and I’ve never looked back. I was born in Schenectady, New York, but grew up right here in Charlotte, NC, where my love for dance truly flourished.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Performing Arts from UNC Charlotte, and over the years, I’ve trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, and contemporary, and I was also a member of my studio’s dance team. My goal is to share everything I’ve learned and create an inspiring space where dancers of all levels can grow, express themselves, and feel at home.

Being Italian, family has always been at the heart of everything I do. That’s why I want my studio to feel like a second home for every student. Here, you’re not just learning steps—you’re joining a dance family where you’ll be supported, challenged, and encouraged every step of the way.

My Teaching Philosophy

"I believe dance should be both disciplined and joyful—students should develop strong technique while also finding confidence, self-expression, and a true love for movement. I like to push my dancers to be their best because I believe growth comes from hard work and dedication, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have fun along the way! My goal is to create a supportive and welcoming environment where every dancer feels like family and is inspired to grow, both in dance and in life."
